One thing is clear: Somersett residents are enthusiastic about capturing the beauty of the community in photographs. We asked you to submit photos for our recent Somersett Living Photo Contest and we were blown away by the response: 50 of you sent us over 150 incredible images. Choosing one favorite was extremely difficult.

Congratulations to Bonnie Hughes, who won the contest with her stunning image of a sunset taken from her back yard overlooking the #7 hole of the championship golf course. Bonnie is modest when she tells us that she doesn’t think of herself as a photographer. “I just enjoy taking pictures of what makes me happy,’’ she says. “Sunsets make me happy!” (Read more about Bonnie in a profile inside the March/April issue of the magazine, or click here to see a digital version.)

Many of the submitted photos feature Somersett’s incredible sunrises, sunsets, cloud formations and rainbows. Others spotlight wildlife of all stripes, the golf course and the breath-taking mountains that surround the community.

  1. Follow the page (if you haven’t already)
  2. Hover over or click on the Followed button (just under the main photo – see image below)
  3. In the dropdown menu, select See First

Then look forward to enjoying a different image each day, taken by one of your neighbors!
